Well that depends on what's wrong with the snake.
There's only so many ways to transport a snake safely anyway so I don't see why it would be any different to moving a healthy snake unless there was something seriously wrong that ment you couldn't put the snake in a rub or pillow case.
either in a sealed tub with holes in it with some new's paper down or a pillow case, there isnt really any different way to carry a snake that i know of really.
although i do suppose it depends on whats wrong with it though, like if it had managed to cut its self or something i would put it into something that wouldn't irritate it or rub up against it causing the possibility of infection ect
Whenever I transport something (even if not ill) I have a warm hot water bottle to one side of it's box/tub - so they can keep warm if they want to. And preferably a human to hold the enclosure still whilst in transit. I hope your snake's ok.
Today I had an emergency call to the vets with my 5 ft boa...no hot water bottle at hand....
i put her inside a pillow case, tumble dryed a towel for a few minutes untill it was slightly warm...placed that in the bottom, placed her on top closed the rub....
for the journey to the car etc, i wrapped the box in another towel just for as much insulation as poss...
All in all worked a treat.
definately investing in a hot water bottle though!!
I've brought non-ill snakes up to Dublin on the train, luckily the commuter trains have two plugs for every two seats so my boa had a heat-mat under her.
I've brought ill reptiles to the vet on local public transport whilst I was in Dublin, they were in plastic boxes with a microwave hot water bottle
